Although it is a great feeling crossing the finish line with publishing Encore, I have many more WIP waiting at the gates to run the race. I wonder if this feeling of a never-ending race will continue throughout all of the years to come as I finish each novel.
Marketing is a vital part of writing, but it does little to fill that need to write, to create another adventure in words. Maybe after I finish editing the other novels already completed, I will take a rest, and put more energy into marketing.
A few years ago, I wondered which novel was going to cross the finish line first. Encore had not even been thought of at that time.
Now, it is a close race between:
Two novels completed of a four-book series, Corundum Empire;
or a family saga, The Land of Santan (formerly The Last Meatball);
or an on-going series, The Master of the Demons (title subject to change);
or finish one of the unfinished WIP…
Good thing I don’t bet on the ponies. I would want them all to win the race.
