That is no excuse, I know. However, I have been tossing rocks around the yard ever since someone gave me a truck load of landscape rocks. Painting walls, playing with grand babies (one more since the picture above), and sewing has kept me away from the writing muse.
Those are excuses.
I have been doing all those things, but waste time with Facebook, Twitter, and watching Family Feud on YouTube while playing computer solitaire.
Life is full of distractions and excuses. I am now working on editing some and getting back into the habit of writing a little every day.
I did participate in Nano this past year and made it to the 50k words. I am sure I completed other years, just didn't put them up on the sidebar.
I am currently attending a once-a-month writer's group. It is new and just beginning to pick up a few interested writers. This month I was asked to speak about self-publishing. I was surprised at how much I had learned over the past decade about publishing. It was fun to do and fired me up to get back to writing again.
During that last meeting, I made a new writing friend. We have a lot in common and hopefully, we can reach our writing goals. Even though writing is a lonely sport, it is nice to have company of like minds.
My sewing business has taken off quite well. Today, one customer bought my lunch, paid for her alteration, and in the middle of our meal, another customer picked up his clothes and paid me. Nice lunch for sure. Life is good.

Have a great day
