This morning while making deviled eggs to take to work, I again wondered about the name of them. Why do we call such a good treat, "Deviled"?
By the time I was finished peeling the eggs, I had a real light-bulb moment. They must have called them deviled because sometimes the shells stick to the eggs like a fly on a frog's tongue. My "deviled" eggs have more craters than the moon!
I have been practicing patience, but those eggs were a true test of my practicing.
